With more than 30 years of experience, Monte is recognized as a pioneer of the premium domain industry and has played a significant role in establishing domain names as a valuable digital asset class.
Monte was a co-founder and executive of Moniker.com, where he helped pioneer and scale the live domain auction model through the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Conference series and other major industry events. Throughout his career, he has facilitated hundreds of millions of dollars in domain and digital asset transactions, managed and monetized major domain portfolios, and advised Fortune 500 companies, investors, registries, entrepreneurs, and domain owners worldwide.
His expertise includes premium domain sales and acquisitions, live and online auctions, corporate divestitures, portfolio strategy, domain valuation, traffic monetization, branding, and digital asset advisory.
Monte is also Managing Director of Internet Equity Limitada, focused on domain, website traffic and email monetization and rich-content generation. He is Managing Director of Dot Hip Hop, LLC, operator of the .HipHop top-level domain serving the global Hip Hop community and culture.
An active participant in the ICANN ecosystem, Monte has advised on new gTLD initiatives, registry strategy, contention resolution, and domain auction processes.
